Shot fired into window at MD college

University officials ask entire campus to stay indoors as incident is investigated

EMMITSBURG, MD | February 6, 2009

Authorities at Mount St. Mary's University have told everyone to stay inside after a shot was fired around 10:30 Friday morning into a student's dorm room.

They said the female student reported the shooting after she heard it and then found a bullet trapped between two panes of glass in her window at Sheridan Hall.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting. No one was injured in the shooting and no one is in custody at this time.
