Volcano erupts in Chile

"Early Alert" issued as Llaima volcano erupts, prompting nearby evacuation.

More than 100 people were evacuated Wednesday when officials declared an "early alert" in the region around the Llaima volcano.

The Llaima is one of the most active volcanoes in Chile. The country's Emergency Bureau said the 5,000 residents of Melipeauco also need to be evacuated.
