Milwaukee suburban church members and many others offered prayers for those who lost loved ones Saturday when a gunman killed seven people at a church gathering.

He gunned down seven parishioners before killing himself at the Living Church of God in Brookfield, a suburb of Milwaukee, according to police reports.

The church had been meeting at a Sheraton hotel for about four years. A spontaneous memorial was set up at the hotel, where people were offering flowers and other symbols of remembrance.

At least two church groups were holding meetings in the hotel at the time of the shooting.

The victims - all from the Living Church of God - ranged in age from teenagers to a 72-year-old man. Four victims died on the scene and three others died later at a hospital.

Police said they weren't seeking other suspects.

The gunman was armed with a handgun. He was affiliated with the Living Church of God.
