A 14-year-old junior high student at the Red Lion Junior High School in York County, PA shot the school principal and then himself early Thursday morning.

The shooting happened about 7:30 a.m., before school began, according to a local emergency dispatcher. The shooting happened in the cafeteria, where some 350 students were gathered.

Both the principal and the student died. Students were sent home from school.

Three guns -- allegedly taken from the student's father -- were found in the student's book bag.

The school district was offering counseling for students affected by the attack.

This was the second attack on this school district in two years. In February 2001, a man attacked a kindergarten class with a machete, injuring 10 students, two teachers and a school principal.
