2 dead in fast food restaurant shooting

Chicago police searching for gunman who shot 7

CHICAGO | December 28, 2011

Chicago police said they were searching Wednesday for a gunman who shot seven people at a fast food restaurant on the city's South Side.

Two people were killed when the gunman opened fire Tuesday night in the Church's Chicken restaurant in the Englewood neighborhood, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Police said the man had gotten into an argument with someone outside the restaurant and chased him inside, where he started firing as the intended target tried to escape through a crowd of people.

The coroner's office has not released the names or ages of the two men who were killed. The injured included two teenage boys and two men in their 50s. No information was provided about the fifth person who was hospitalized, the newspaper said.
