Mudslide threatens WA homes

Emergency officials evacuate homes in Washington State following mudslides.

April 3, 2009

Law enforcement officials did voluntary evacuations on Whidbey Island, Wash., after mudslides washed out roads and damaged some homes.

Several homes were surrounded with mud and water on Friday. Other homes were still under the threat of being hit with mud, while at least one road was already washed out and another was threatening to give way.

No injuries were reported and emergency officials were at the site of the slide on Friday.
