Earthquake hits near Seattle

An earthquake rattled the Seattle area early Friday morning

An earthquake rattled the Seattle area at 5:25 a.m. Friday. Experts said the epicenter of the magnitude-4.6 quake was 20 miles northwest of Seattle.

There have been no reports of damage or injury from the quake but residents reported being woken up by the quake and some said they felt it as far away as Victoria, British Columbia 71 miles from the epicenter.

Seattle television stations reported they had callers say the felt the shaking for 10 to 15 seconds.
