Low humidity levels and high winds are fueling a fire risk in South Texas. According to the national Weather Service, the risk for quickly spreading fires will remain elevated Thursday.
The NWS is estimating humidity levels to bottom out in the low to mid-teens inland. Humidity levels along the coast will stay in the 20s and 30s.
The NWS advised residents not to do activities that could result in fire. Burn bans are also in place for parts of South Texas.
