Tornado outbreak near Kansas City

Severe weather damages homes and other buildings in suburbs

KANSAS CITY | September 12, 2008

Several tornadoes were reported in the Kansas City suburbs Friday night.

At least one twister is thought to have been responsible for damages to homes and other buildings near DeSoto in Johnson County.

The severe weather system is also predicting to dump as much as 10-inches of rain in the region, prompting flash flood warnings.
