Central Texas was coping with more than six inches of rain and a possible tornado in the San Marcos area on Saturday.

More storms are on the way, said forecasters, with freezing rain predicted for Sunday and Monday.

A tornado or straight-line winds damaged six homes in San Marcos, destroying two of them, according to police reports.

In Austin, at least nine people had to be rescued from rising floodwaters, and residents were warned to be on the lookout for urban residential flooding.

No injuries or deaths were reported from the storm.
