Residents in central and southern Ohio are still cleaning up this weekend after floods and hail storms that hit on Thursday. Severe storms forced dozens of residents in Ross and Pike counties to evacuate. Quarter-size hail shattered windows, damaged homes and dented cars.

Several hundred homes east of Columbus in Pataskala had vinyl siding damaged by hail and strong winds. Up to four inches of rain fell in southern Ohio, spawning floodwaters that blocked roads as streams overflowed their banks.

Near Lake White, about 70 homes had flood damage.

Waverly, Ohio, was one of the communities that got inundated with more than four inches of rain, reported residents. The Waverly Church of Christ sustained flood damage.
