Federal investigators say cracks in the wing of a seaplane caused the wing to fall off, sending the plane into the water off of Miami Beach Monday. The crash killed all 20 people aboard.

Investigators added that the cracks were deep within the wing, something that a normal inspection of the craft may not have found.

Amateur video footage shows the plane spiraling into the water off the coast shortly after takeoff, leaving a trail of flames and black smokes behind it. The plane was on its way to the Bahamas from Miami.

Investigators brought pieces of the plane's wreckage to the surface Tuesday. The plane belongs to Chalks Ocean Airways and is a propeller craft that takes off from the water.
