Derailment injures dozens

A Chicago commuter train derailed on Saturday, killing one person and injuring at least 83 people.

A Chicago commuter train derailed on Saturday, killing one person and injuring at least 83 people.

The five-car train was en route from Joliet to Chicago when it derailed 5 miles from the city. Seventeen of the injured people were in serious or critical condition, according to reports from fire officials.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the accident.
