A wildfire burned 30 homes and damaged 20 others in the Manton community in northern California.

The 2,300-acre fire started Friday and quickly spread, forcing the evacuations of some 200 people in Shasta County as the foothills blaze threatened homes. California Department of Forestry officials now say the blaze will be under control late Sunday or early Monday morning, but some homes remained threatened.

No evacuations remain in effect. Three people have been injured. More than 1,700 firefighters are working on the blaze with the help of 150 tankers, four airtankers and six helicopters.

Fire officials say the blaze was human caused.
