AZ wildfires worsen

Two wildfires continued to worsen in southeast Arizona Wednesday.

Two wildfires continued to worsen in southeast Arizona Wednesday. More than 100 people in cabin homes on Mount Graham were evacuated over the weekend, and Wednesday was the worst weather day yet, said fire officials.

One blaze was nearing the cabin communities of Turkey Flat and Columbine.

Residents in nearby towns were issued a health advisory because of the smoke.

The other blaze, only 10 percent contained, was less than a mile away from the Mount Graham International Observatory, which was evacuated.

The two blazes were had burned 16,360 acres as of Wednesday morning. They were expected to join.
