An explosion rocked a factory in Corbin, Ken. Thursday, injuring 22 workers and forcing nearby residents to evacuate.
Two other workers were unaccounted for as of Thursday morning.
The explosion occurred at CTA Acoustics, which employs 561 workers and makes insulation products.
Ray Bowman, spokesperson for Kentucky emergency management, said the blast happened around 8 a.m. Most of the injuries were burns, he said.
A release of an unknown chemical forced evacuation of residents who live south of the plant. A cloud was hanging overhead.
Corbin is in southeastern Kentucky, about 80 miles south of Lexington.
